(Recently), Senate Democrats blocked passage of a Republican bill to provide medical care to infants who survive a failed abortion.
The final Senate vote was 53-44 . . . just seven votes short of the 60 needed to pass. Three Democrats voted “YES” in favor of the bill; Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia; Doug Jones, D-Alabama; and Bob Casey, Jr., D-Pennsylvania.
Three Republicans were not there to vote; Kevin Cramer, R-North Dakota; Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska; and Tim Scott, R-South Carolina.
Reportedly, their absence was due to some kind of scheduling problem, flight delays or something else. But even if they had been there and voted, the bill would have still fallen short of the needed 60 votes to pass.
The bill would have required [under penalty of law] “any health care practitioner present at the time of a birth, to exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child [who survived the abortion process] as they would any other child born alive at the same gestational age.”
In a normal world, preserving the life of a newborn baby would be expected of every health care practitioner. But not in today’s “Bizarro World” – where all sound reasoning is lost. Think about that! Forty-four senators in essence said, “let the baby suffer and die.”
And those 44 Democrats include Socialists/Independent Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and Elizabeth Warren . . . all of whom want to be the next president of the United States of America!
What a shameful public display of their total disregard for human life. The Democrat Party has truly become the party that promotes the “Culture-of-Death” . . . and one day . . . they all will pay the price for these evil deeds.
God’s Word tells us: “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth” (Psalm 34:14-16 NIV).
