Connor Dow scored a career-high 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Summit League preseason favorite, St. Thomas Tommies, on Saturday night at the Mabee Center. St. Thomas won the game 82-71.

ORU is now 5-13 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Tommies improved to 14-4 overall, 3-0 SL.

ORU jumped out to a 20-11 lead midway through the first half, however, the Tommies fought back to take a 43-40 lead into halftime.

St. Thomas took a six-point lead early in the second half, but ORU went on a 6-0 run to tie the game at 50-50 with 14:10 left to play.

Tommies outscored the Golden Eagles 32-21 the rest of the way secure the win.

Ofri Naveh tallied 16 points and six rebounds while Luke Gray chipped in with eight points, two steals and two blocks, for the Golden Eagles.

St. Thomas was led by Nick Janowski who collected a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

ORU was scheduled to play at Denver on Wednesday night and will host Omaha on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Mabee Center. It will be Star Wars night and one of the Star Wars movies will be shown on the video board following the game, as decided by a vote of the ORU students.
