Clutch free throws with time running out, helped the Oklahoma State Cowboys get past Kansas State, 84-83 on Saturday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.

The Cowboys are now 14-4 overall, 2-3 in Big 12 play, and own a 24-0 record under second-year coach Steve Lutz when they score at least 81 points. With the win, Lutz earned his 100th career victory. He’s a combined 100-57 in five seasons as a head coach with stops at OSU (31-22), Western Kentucky (22-12) and A&M-Corpus Christi (47-23).

Kansas State dropped to 9-9 and 0-5 in the Big 12. It’s the first time since the 1996-97 season that the Wildcats have been 0-5 in conference play.

Vyctorius Miller was fouled while attempting a three-point shot in the corner, with 2.8 seconds remaining. Miller made all three free throws to give the Cowboys the win.

Anthony Roy led OSU with 23 points, along with Parsa Fallah who had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Kanye Clary added 12 points and six assists.

For K-State, PJ Haggerty scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half and Abdi Bashir Jr. added 15, which included five three-pointers.

OSU outscored KSU 20-2 on free throws and finished plus-9 in the turnover column (16-7).
