David Green led the Tulsa Golden Hurricane with 22 points, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane got past Temple, 78-76, to close out the regular season at the Reynolds Center on Sunday.

Tulsa finished the regular season with a 25-6 overall record, and 13-5 in the American Conference, Temple is 16-15, 8-10 American.

It was a close game throughout, and the biggest lead in the first half was when Temple led by eight points, 25-17, with 6:18 left before halftime.

Tulsa stayed close, and Temple led 34-32 at halftime.

Temple kept the lead until 13:39 left in the second half when Tulsa tied the score at 48-48 on a three-pointer by Miles Barnstable.

Tulsa took the lead, 54-53 with 10:35 remaining in the game. The two teams exchanged the lead several times down the stretch, but Tulsa sealed the win with a free throw by Green with four-seconds remaining.

In total, the two teams traded the lead 11 times and the game was tied 12 times.

Barnstable and Tylen Riley finished with 13 points each for Tulsa, while Riley also pulled down 6 rebounds.

Temple was led by Derrian Ford with 23 points, Aiden Tobiason and Jordan Mason each added 19.

The Golden Hurricane will be the No. 3 seed in the American Conference Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, and play in the quarterfinals on Friday.
