Oklahoma State failed to hold on to a late lead, as No. 7 Houston rallied for an 82–75 win over the Cowboys on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Houston’s record improved to 26-5, 14-4 Big 12, while OSU dropped to 18-13, 6-12 Big 12.

OSU jumped out to an early lead and was ahead by 13 points near the 6:00 mark of the first half. Isaiah Coleman capped a 9–1 run with a pair of transition baskets to give the Cowboys a 32–19 advantage. OSU led 41–37 at halftime.

Houston’s perimeter shooting got hot after the intermission, as the Cougars hit 8-of-15 three-pointers in the second half. Back-to-back triples in the final 90 seconds stretched a one-point lead to seven and sealed the comeback.

Anthony Roy led OSU with 18 points on 4-of-11 shooting. Kanye Clary finished with 14 points, and Jaylen Curry added 13.

Chase McCarty was the leading scorer for the Cougars, knocking down 6-of-9 from beyond the arc on his way to a career-high 20 points. Kingston Flemings added 13 points.

OSU outrebounded Houston 36–33 and held an 18–9 edge in second-chance points.

Houston scored 21 points off the Cowboys nine turnovers in the game.

OSU was slated to open the Big 12 Tournament on Tuesday against Colorado.
