Oklahoma State got past Colorado, 92-83, in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament last Tuesday, but the Cowboys were knocked out of the tournament in the second round by TCU. The sixth-seeded Horned Frogs rallied for a 95-88 victory over No. 14 seed OSU in the second round on Wednesday night, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The Cowboys received a bid to play in the NIT and will host Davidson at home on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m. with the game airing on ESPN2 (See bracket below).

The Cowboys record dropped to 19-14 overall and 6-12 in the Big 12, while TCU advanced to play Kansas in the quarterfinals and lost to the Jayhawks, 78-73.

For the Horned Frogs, Tanner Toolson finished with 19 points, and Xavier Edmonds had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cowboys were led by Anthony Roy with 25 points and nine rebounds, Christian Coleman had 15 points and Kanye Clary added 14.

TCU won all three meetings against OSU this season.

The Cowboys’ Jaylen Curry scored 10 points in the first half and OSU led at halftime, 46-43.

Early in the second half, Oklahoma State scored on nine consecutive possessions and built a 67-57 lead with under 14 minutes remaining in the game.

Eventually, TCU came from behind and took the lead with 5:40 left to play. OSU kept the game close, but David Punch scored a basket to put TCU ahead, 89-86, with 2:50 left and the Horned Frogs pulled away in the final two minutes.
