The Tulsa Beacon along with the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County offices will be closed on Good Friday. The Tulsa trash and recycling will still be collected. Broken Arrow city offices are also closed
Early voting begins April 2nd on School Board and Municipal elections, and City and School Bond issues
Early voting begins for the Board of Education General for ISD-14 Liberty Public Schools Office 1, ISD-1 Tulsa Public Schools Office 4 & 7, and Tulsa Technology Center Zone 7; as well as Municipal General Elections for the City of Sapulpa Councilmember Ward 5, City of Bixby Councilmember Ward 4 and Special Bond Propositions Elections for ISD-1 Tulsa Public Schools and City of Broken Arrow, Thursday, April 2 for voters in Tulsa County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.
Tulsa County Election Board Secretary, Gwen Freeman, said early voting is open to all voters. “You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted through the State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Freeman said.
Early voting is available Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the County Election Board located at 12000 E. Skelly Drive, Tulsa. Freeman reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.
