TULSA, Okla. (April 27, 2026) — The Tulsa Republican Club and Women For Tulsa today announce the candidates who will participate in the upcoming Republican Primary Debate for Oklahoma Governor scheduled for Monday, May 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The candidates who qualified and accepted to appear on the debate stage are:
- Genter Drummond
- Mike Mazzei
- Chip Keating
Debate participation was determined based on independent polling and/or financial benchmarks, designed to ensure voters hear from the most competitive campaigns in the race. Charles McCall and Jake Merrick were invited to attend but declined to participate due to commitments to previously scheduled events.
For the State Superintendent debate, all candidates were invited to participate. “Given there is no polling and a majority of the candidates joining the race late, we determined that we needed to provide an opportunity for voters to hear from all of these candidates,” said Charity Marcus, Chair of the Tulsa Republican Club.
So far, Dr. John Cox, Dr. Robert Franklin, Adam Pugh and William Crozier have confirmed they will be participating in the debate.
“We’re thrilled to host the first major state superintendent and gubernatorial debates in Tulsa County this election season,” said Christy Rawlings, President of Women For Tulsa. “Women For Tulsa is proud to help create an educational platform where voters can hear directly from candidates, explore their priorities, and feel empowered to take part in the decisions shaping Oklahoma’s future.”
“These debates will give the candidates an opportunity to truly distinguish themselves in a way that previous forums have not allowed,” said Charity Marcus.
Both debates will be moderated by KRMG Morning Host Skyler Cooper and will be held at the Campbell Hotel Event Center, 2636 E. 11th St., in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The debate will be live streamed on various media outlets for those who cannot attend. For each debate, Oklahoma citizens can submit questions to be asked of the candidates during the debate.
