Oklahoma State had its eight-game conference winning streak snapped Sunday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium as No. 16 Arizona State beat the No. 25 Cowboys 11-7.

With the loss, OSU dropped to 33-18 overall and 16-11 in the Big 12, while the Sun Devils improved to 34-17 and 17-10 in the Big 12.

ASU scored one run in the first inning, and the Cowboys responded with a solo home run by Alex Conover in the top of the third inning. It was his 11th homer of the season. Conover finished the day going 3-for-4.

The Sun Devils added five more runs in the bottom of the third to take a 6-1 lead. ASU scored five more runs across four innings, and although OSU put four runs on the board in the top of the ninth, it wasn’t enough to overcome the large deficit.

Sebastian Norman, Kollin Ritchie and Aidan Meola also homered for OSU in the game.

OSU’s Brennan Phillips took the loss on the mound to fall to 3-3 as the southpaw allowed eight runs on eight hits and struck out four.

OSU beat ASU on Friday 9-6 and won on Saturday 13-6.

The Cowboys conclude the regular season with their final Big 12 series at home against Arizona beginning Thursday night at O’Brate Stadium. The game time is 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
