Here’s just one more reason why public funding should not go to the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA).
OETA, which probably would go under without huge state subsidies, is running a series of homosexual friendly films in June to “celebrate Pride Month.”
What?
On June 11, OETA aired a documentary about the Stonewall Inn riots in New York City 50 years ago when militant homosexuals revolted against city police. This was supposed to be a turning point in America when normal people began to be forced to accept homosexuality as mainstream.
On June 14, OETA showed a program on Tony-winning playwright Terrance McNally, a homosexual activist who has made it his mission in life to convert heterosexuals into acceptance of homosexuality.
On June 18, OETA showed another program that claimed persecution of homosexuals in America in the 1950s. This was basically a condemnation of anyone who dared to speak out against the homosexual lifestyle.
Perhaps the worst program is a documentary on the homosexual takeover of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This sleepy tourist town used to be a filled with Christian shops and shows, including the outdoor Passion Play.
City government was taken over by homosexuals and most Christian businesses left. This program tries to convince normal people – especially Christians who take the Bible literally in its condemnation of homosexuality – that perversion and Christianity can co-exist without clashing.
That is a lie straight from the pit.
We have free speech in America. The ultra-liberals who run OETA have every right to air programs that glorify the homosexual lifestyle and try to make it seem “normal.” No one is forced to watch their programming.
The problem is that Oklahomans are forced to pay for this perverted programming through our tax dollars. Every time conservatives in the Legislature try to strip away OETA funding, Democrats and liberal Republicans scream bloody murder.
So, we keep paying for liberal ideology to be streamed into our living rooms. The Homosexual Agenda is genuine and the taxpayers of Oklahoma are funding it at OETA.
