Insurance Commissioner-elect Glen Mulready has tapped Oklahoma native and adviser Tyler Laughlin to lead his transition efforts.

Laughlin, currently a deputy commissioner for the Oklahoma Insurance Department, was also part of the transition team for former Attorney General Scott Pruitt. Mulready said Laughlin would serve as chief of staff and first deputy insurance commissioner.

“I am excited and ready to take on this new role,” stated Laughlin. “I have seen firsthand Commissioner-elect Mulready’s commitment to Oklahoma insurance consumers. I know I can help lead a smooth transition, providing certainty and continuity for Oklahomans and those involved in the insurance industry.”

Mulready will join fellow statewide elected officials and be sworn in as the 13th insurance commissioner of Oklahoma on January 14.
