There are two words that best describes the two debates we’ve witnessed so far . . . appalled and bewildered.
Never would I have imagined that twenty Democrat presidential candidates would stand together and make such outlandish statements to the American people – promising, that if they are elected, they will actually implement these horrendous government programs:
Abortions For All
Every candidate promised to provide taxpayer funded abortions for everyone – for any reason – at any time (even ninth month of pregnancy). And not to be outdone, Julian Castro and Amy Klobuchar extended that pledge to transgenders!
Medicare For All
They all conveyed the impression that this is “free” healthcare for everyone (even non-citizens). But Medicare is not free. A Medicare tax of 1.45% is withheld from the wages of every employed person in the United States – and if you earn more than $200,000 an additional 0.9% (1.54%) is withheld.
Even Social Security pension recipients must pay from $135.50 to $460.50 per month (depending on annual income) for Medicare . . . and Medicare only pays 80% of your medical bill. Therefore, most pension recipients must purchase private healthcare insurance to cover the 20% that Medicare does not pay . . . And yet, almost all of these Democrats are calling for the elimination of private insurance.
College For All
Every candidate promised taxpayer funded “free” college for everyone (even non-citizens) – and, almost all of the candidates are calling for all outstanding student loans to be forgiven.
Fossil Fuels To Be Eliminated
Most all of the candidates believe Climate Change is the biggest threat to our nation – some say we only have 12 years to save the planet. All want to eliminate the production and use of fossil fuels (including nuclear) and rely solely on wind and solar power. All favor the immediate implementation of carbon emission taxes on all power plants, fabricators, manufacturers, farmers and cattle ranchers (methane gas), and the transportation industry (planes, trains, trucks, ships, busses and automobiles). And all support the Green New Deal proposed by the 29-year-old former bartender, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY).
Open Borders
Some say they are not for open borders, but all say they do not believe we should prosecute those persons who have entered our country illegally. And some are even calling for the elimination of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the federal agency that is tasked to enforce U.S. immigration laws and to investigate criminal and terrorist activity of transnational organizations and aliens within the United States.
In other words, these presidential candidates are not committed to defending and protecting the sovereignty of this nation and the safety and security of all U.S. citizens, by observing and enforcing the laws of the United States of America. These are just a few of the most extreme, bizarre “promises” these Democrat presidential candidates have made to date. There is no telling how much more extreme and foolish they will get between now and November 2020 . . . unless God steps in and says “That’s it. I’ve had enough.”
Let’s all work and pray to prevent these extreme measures from being implemented . . . And be prepared to meet the Lord when that day comes.
