God transforms lives through the ministry of New Life Ranch and now through a remarkable set of circumstances, there is hope that the ministry will double in size.

New Life Ranch, 80 miles east of Tulsa in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, was started in 1958 by the late Rev. Willard Heck and his wife Ruth. They had one goal – introduce children and adults to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Over the years, that mission hasn’t changed and thousands of former campers attest to the life-changing experience of summer camp and retreats.

In August, New Life Ranch closed the purchase of Dry Gulch U.S.A., founded by Pastor Willie George of Church on the Move in Tulsa and likewise dedicated to helping people find faith in Jesus Christ.

How is this remarkable? After two years of negotiations, New Life Ranch raised the multi-million price tag and paid for the 230-acre facility with cash. In fact, New Life Ranch only builds or buys with cash and doesn’t borrow.

Now, the original New Life Ranch becomes New Life Ranch Flint Valley and Dry Gulch becomes New Life Ranch Frontier Cove. The new site is move-in ready and retreats begin this fall. It will double the current capacity for summer camp, with junior campers at the new location and senior campers the Flint Valley campus.

This was a win-win, with Church on the Move switching resources to a more effective ministry and New Life Ranch reaching more children and adults.

Stay tuned. Exciting things are happening and God is at work at New Life Ranch.
