Watching the Democrat presidential debates, a consistent theme surfaces. Democrats want to take from a segment of America and give it to others.
This has been true of the left-wing of the Democrats for decades but this latest batch of candidates unabashedly criticizes wealthy Americans and corporations and promises total care to those who aren’t wealthy.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont, is a self-described socialist. If he had his way, people would send all of their money to the government which would in turn meet every need of the population. Sanders hates rich people (even though he himself is a millionaire). He and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts hate corporations that make money.
This is class envy.
What Warren won’t mention in the debates is that more than half the families in America have investments in the stock market, mostly through retirement plans they have at work. If Warren told General Motors that she was confiscating all of their profits through confiscatory taxation, it would drop the portfolio for millions of Americans.
This is a strategy to buy votes. And with votes, come power. Warren, Sanders, Joe Biden, Sen. Kamala Harris and others want everybody to be dependent on government services and they want to be in charge of who gets what.
This has been tried in many countries and it always fails (see Venezuela). Productive people realize very quickly that they will not enjoy the fruits of their labor and they stop working. Those on welfare have no motivation to lift themselves out of poverty.
The Democrats want to destroy America’s capitalism and replace it with authoritarian socialism. This is why President Trump needs to be re-elected.
