The Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt signed a petition to vote on repealing the Constitutional Carry gun law that goes into effect on November 1.

Mayor David Holt, who used to be in the Legislature, apparently disagrees with Gov. Kevin Stitt and a bipartisan majority who believe that Oklahoma should be an open carry state.

Unlike promotion of homosexuality, growing government and raising taxes and fees, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum refuses to take a position on the new gun law. On his Facebook page, Bynum states his job is to “bring the city together” and therefore he won’t take a stand on the gun issue.

The constitutional right for U.S. citizens to bear arms is too controversial a topic for Bynum but granting special status for homosexuals and pushing for a one-world economy (and eventually one-world government) is fair game.

This is a perfect example of the wrong leadership in Tulsa.

Bynum, a registered Republican, governs like a liberal Democrat. He and the city councilors would fight to keep municipal elections “nonpartisan” because they don’t want the conservatives in Tulsa to know how liberal they are on vital issues.

National Democrats are screaming for universal background checks, gun registration and eventual gun confiscation. They want to erase the Second Amendment and create a defenseless populace.

That’s un-American and unconstitutional.

So, while Bynum dodges the gun rights’ issue, he cuts a ribbon on the renaming of a street for homosexual pride while he increases water bills by 7 percent every year and promotes sales tax increases. Tulsa needs new leadership. Municipal elections are next year.
