NORMAN – The Michael F. Price College of Business at The University of Oklahoma got high rankings for its graduate-level programs this spring and now the college announced a huge jump in rankings for its undergraduate programs by U.S. News and World Report.

In its 2020 Best Colleges Rankings, the Price College’s undergraduate business program is ranked 50th in the nation, up 12 spots from last year. This ranking is the highest that Price College’s undergraduate program has received in its history – a ranking that represents 31st among all public business schools.

“We are extremely honored to see such an increase in our rankings,” said Wayne Thomas, interim dean of the Price College of Business. “Although rankings alone do not define us, they certainly help send a message that Price College belongs among the elite business schools in the nation. I am continually impressed by the talent and dedication of our faculty and staff, and the enthusiasm of our students.”

The Michael F. Price College of Business has experienced significant growth over the past five years in the number of faculty, staff and students and has become OU’s second-largest college with more than 4,700 students. The College offers undergraduate, master’s, executive and doctoral programs across six academic divisions in accounting, entrepreneurship and economic development, finance, management and international business, management information systems, and marketing and supply chain management. The College’s Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business is a 27,000-square-foot facility located in the heart of Oklahoma City’s Innovation District.

According to U.S. News, undergraduate business school rankings are based solely on the judgments of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions.

In spring 2019, U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty members at each of the 504 undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The University of Oklahoma is a doctoral degree-granting university and leader in research, health care and academic activity impacting the state of Oklahoma.

The Norman campus enrolls more than 28,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City enrolls more than 3,000 students and the OU-Tulsa campus enrolls more than 1,000. In fall 2019, OU enrolled its largest freshman class ever, with an average ACT score of 26 and representing one of the most diverse and inclusive groups of incoming students in university history.
