Eisenhower International School in Tulsa is being recognized for a second time with an international distinction by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The school received the prestigious Label Franc Education 2019 seal for its French dual-language program for Pre-K through fifth-graders.

State officials praised the school for its dedication to high-quality curriculum and specialized instruction in French language and cultural proficiency, which has resulted in higher outcomes in English and mathematics.

Eisenhower first received the Label Franc Education seal in 2016, which is a three-year distinction. Eisenhower is one of 53 schools in 13 U.S. states to do so. As a benefit of the seal, Eisenhower will receive access to online media libraries and other educational resources in partnership with the French Ministry of Education. Worldwide, the Label Franc Education seal is shared by 395 schools and programs in 59 countries.

The alliance allows both Oklahoma and Amiens to identify connections between the two communities, exploring new benefits to their students and teachers in language and culture. In addition, Tulsa has a sister city agreement with Amiens.
