God bless our military and the decisive action by President Trump to rid the world of Gen. Qassim Sleimani, a ruthless enemy of the United States and the killer of innocent citizens throughout the Middle East.
Americans should stand up and cheer his demise.
But that isn’t the case with some leading Democrats.
The Oklahoma Democrat Party used the occasion of the end of a sworn enemy to heap criticism on Trump – and unwittingly downgrade our nation’s military.
According to a press release by state Democrats, “The Oklahoma Democratic Party is extremely concerned and dismayed about the reckless and dangerous assassination of General Qassim Soleimani, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Qods Force (IRGQ), in a drone strike near the Baghdad Airport. President Trump has committed the United States to a course of action that may well result in open military conflict with a foreign power without consultation of Congress, without any attempt at serious diplomacy, and seemingly without a plan to mitigate the almost certain heavy military response from Iran.
“Moreover, he did this apparently without consultation of Congress as prescribed nor of our allies in the region, including the Iraqi government, and at a time when he has zero credibility with other world leaders and with the majority of the American people.”
The liberal Democrats want the ineffective policy of Obama instead of a show of force in the face of anticipated attacks on more Americans. Obama sent planeloads of cash to buy peace. Trump killed the head of the snake.
Democrats are more concerned that Nancy Pelosi, who is trying her best to get rid of Trump, to be privy to all his actions as commander-in-chief than they are to eliminate real threats.
In the past, the opposition party would support a president – and particularly our military – in actions overseas. That is just not true anymore.
In the slanderous testimony against Trump in Pelosi’s House, he was accused of being a traitor. The real treason is when some Democrats place their hatred of Trump on a higher level than the safety of Americans abroad.
