Emmanuel Nzekwesi and Max Abmas combined for 51 points but it wasn’t enough Saturday as ORU (11-9, 4-3 in the Summit Conference) fell to South Dakota (15-8, 6-3), 91-80, Saturday in Vermillion.
“Our inability to guard without fouling stood out. They did a good job of getting to the paint and they ended up with 29 free throws. We just put them on the line too much. It really came down to our inability to stay in front of the ball,” said ORU coach Paul Mills.
ORU will host Denver at 7 p.m. Saturday.
