The 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo have been postponed and could be cancelled due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach agreed to postpone the Tokyo 2020 by about one year. The Opening Ceremony had been planned for July 24. The Olympic flame will remain stored and displayed in Fukushima.
