The OSU-Tulsa Extension Office’s Tulsa County Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) members have volunteered their time and money to create, handmade and donate nearly 1,000 fabric masks to local hospitals and medical facilities, community members, and grocery stores and businesses.

OHCE members created 50 scent cloths to be used to comfort NICU babies at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. The parents of these babies wear the scent cloths, and then the cloths are placed in the babies’ beds. When parents are not able to visit and connect with their babies due to COVID-19 restrictions, the scent cloths help to soothe and comfort them.
