Tulsa City-County Library’s annual Summer Reading Program will look a little different so that it’s easy for parents, caregivers, children, teens and adults to participate in a manner that helps to maintain the safety and health of our communities.

This year’s program, “Imagine Your Story,” kicks off June 22 and continues through July 31, will be offered primarily online and will feature incentive prizes and drawings for all four age groups (birth to pre-K, children, teens/tweens, adults), special virtual events, fun learning activities to try at home, Bingo sheets for all ages and more.

Tulsa City-County Library locations are currently closed in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

With an average of 7,000 visitors who enter our libraries every day throughout Tulsa County, library officials want to limit the potential for exposure for both our customers and staff, out of the abundance of caution.

Closing the library was an extraordinarily difficult decision that officials made only because of these extraordinary circumstances. However, this does not mean a complete shutdown of library services.

The library continues to provide the many digital services, such as e-books and e-audiobooks; streaming movies, TV and music services; free access to magazines and newspapers; and more.

TCCL is opening all of onsite book drops beginning May 11, for patrons to return materials. They will continue to be open 24/7 going forward as they’ve been in the past. There will be a 3-day delay on materials being checked in while items are being quarantined. They will not be charging late fees on any items through May 31.

Curbside holds pickup will be offered at all TCCL locations beginning May 18 during regular business hours. Curbside services at Central Library, Hardesty Regional Library, Martin Regional Library, Rudisill Regional Library and Zarrow Regional Library will close at 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

To use curbside pickup, patrons place an item on hold online and they will receive a notification when a hold is ready. Then they can go to a TCCL location to pick up your item and follow instructions on the signage to call and notify staff of an arrival. Materials will be brought out to the patron.

For more information, call 918-549-7323.

Starbucks at Central Library is open for call ahead curbside service. Offered daily from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., this service is provided on Fifth Street in front of Central Library. Call 918-549-7698 when you arrive to place your order and items will be brought out to you.
