While the nation’s restaurant industry has lost almost six million jobs due to the coronavirus, Raising Cane’s said it is seeking to hire 5,000 new workers for its chicken restaurants across the nation.
Raising Cane’s also distributed $2 million in bonuses to its workers systemwide to show its appreciation for their work and sacrifice during the pandemic.
The $2 million payout is intended to make-up for the hours that each worker agreed to give-up at the beginning of this pandemic, so that all workers could stay employed.
Raising Cane’s has several locations in the Tulsa area.
Throughout the crisis, Raising Cane’s has kept all but a handful of its 500 restaurants open nationwide.
Only those without drive-throughs have temporarily closed.
The company has plans to soon re-open their dining rooms.
