The world today is full of liars.  People have become so self-centered and so prideful of themselves, they will say or do whatever it takes to get ahead.  If that means going on TV or social media and telling boldfaced lies, or writing a tell-all book, they will do it.

What is wrong with these people?  Have they no conscience, or no respect for themselves or others?  Surely they must know they are lying.  Medical experts tell us, that when you are telling a lie, your heart beats faster, your face and neck begins to flush, your eyes dart back and forth, and often times you take on a blank stare like a deer caught in the headlights of an on-coming car.

Even though the liar thinks he (or she) is clever enough to fool the people they are speaking to, their own body knows when they are lying, and those telltale signs always gives them away.

In Proverbs 6:16-19 (NIV), we are told “there are six things the Lord hates; seven are detestable to him.”  And then the Scripture goes on to list those seven things: 1. Haughty eyes, 2. A lying tongue, 3. Hands that shed innocent blood, 4. A heart that devises wicked schemes, 5. Feet that are quick to rush into evil, 6. A false witness who pours out lies [about other people], 7. A man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

God calls such a person a “troublemaker and a “villain.”  He also says you can recognize them by the way they wink (blink) their eyes, restlessly shuffle their feet, and make quirky hand gestures while they speak [perhaps God had Nancy Pelosi in mind].

God says these people “plot evil with deceit in their heart” and always “stir up conflict.”  However, God says their lying ways will not be successful, because “disaster will overtake them in and instant; and suddenly they will be destroyed – without remedy” (see Proverbs 6:12-15 NIV).

Jesus also gives this assurance: “There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open . . . . So don’t be afraid of them.  There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known” (Luke 8:17; Matthew 10:26 NIV).

Even though it’s stressful to watch, as far-left socialist/progressive Democrats, with masks hiding their faces, are flooding the airwaves with misinformation from anonymous sources . . . Let us not be discouraged.   Neither the deceit, nor the evilness that is embedded deep in their heart, can be hidden by the mask on their face.

And let us not be fooled by the “good ole boy, friend of the working man” routine being portrayed by Joe Biden.  God’s word explains it well: “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords” (Psalm 55:21 KJV).  Note: This is especially true when you look at the Democrat Platform – they have become the party of death – and Joe Biden is their leader.

Let us pray that the American people wake up and get right with God before it’s too late.
