Fox News reports that Caitlyn Marie Jenner has announced that she’s a candidate for Governor of California. The Fox News personalities all seemed to be excited about Caitlyn’s candidacy, saying, “She’s a Republican who describes herself as ‘socially liberal’ and ‘fiscally conservative.’ Also, she’s a Christian who supports same-sex marriage.”
No one on the panel expressed concern, or even any curiosity that the soon to be 72-year-old transgender Caitlyn, was born a biological male, and named Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949. Yes, some of you may remember Bruce Jenner, the Olympic Gold Medalist – the Decathlon Champion of 1976.
At that time Bruce Jenner was celebrated as the “All American Boy” and was featured on every box of Wheaties cereal – which was advertised as the “Breakfast of Champions.” Yes, the Caitlyn of today, is the Bruce Jenner of yesteryear, that was married and divorced three times, and is the biological father of six children.
Bruce’s last marriage was to Kris Kardashian in 1991, and I’m sure all of you are familiar with the many TV and social media exploits of the Kardashian Family . . . they’ve become a family of billionaires. Bruce and Kris divorced in 2015.
In a “20/20” interview with Diane Sawyer in April 2015, Bruce Jenner came out as a trans-woman, saying he had dealt with gender dysphoria since his youth. Jenner said he had never been sexually attracted to men, but always to women, and considered himself asexual for a time. However, Jenner underwent cosmetic surgery, and ultimately completed sex reassignment surgery in January 2017. The world we are living in today wants you to believe “there is nothing unusual about this.” But surely any normal, reasonable-thinking person must think this behavior is bizarre . . . It is not normal!
Surely this proves God’s Word to be true: “The devil who rules this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—-the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is exactly like God” (2 Corinthians 4:4 NCV). God’s Word tells us there is a veil over the face of non-believers, and their minds are made dull. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, that veil is taken away, and they can clearly see the truth (see 2 Corinthians 3:12-18).
Let’s pray that the Lord removes that veil and restores the sight of the American people so that we can clearly distinguish between normal and abnormal, right and wrong, good and evil. Pray that non-believers will choose to follow Jesus, turn from their wicked ways, and do what is right in the eyes of God Almighty; and that God will heal this nation.
