Fourteen of Tulsa’s largest area attractions have agreed to continue current mask requirements and social distancing for all indoor spaces through the month of May even though the City of Tulsa has dropped the mask mandate ordinance.
Planners said the extension might allow additional time for guests and staff to fully complete vaccinations and safely transition to increased capacities and activities.
The Tulsa area attractions participating in these joint efforts include: ahha Tulsa, Discovery Lab, Gathering Place, Gilcrease Museum, Oklahoma Aquarium, Philbrook Museum of Art, Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, Tulsa Ballet, Tulsa Garden Center at Woodward Park, Tulsa Historical Society and Museum, Tulsa Performing Arts Center, Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Zoo, and the Woody Guthrie Center.
These Tulsa attractions have engaged in regular discussions since the pandemic began in March 2020 and continue to communicate and closely monitor the situation. In the coming weeks the group will issue an update for the month of June reflecting further guidance from the CDC and City of Tulsa.
