Now that May is winding down, it’s surprising that this fact has been overlooked by the mainstream media as it proves they are biased in their selective promotion of certain minorities and neglect of others.
Even Vice President Cowmala Harris seems lost in space about it as she hasn’t been going around the country this month making people aware of it. Odd, considering her mom is from India. Her dad is from the Island of Jamaica in the Caribbean, making her Jamaican/Asian Indian American.
Here in America, we observe Black History Month in February, American Indian/Native American Month from mid-September to mid-October and Hispanic Month in November.
So why is there virtually no publicity or recognition for the month of May? Do not the TV stations, liberal media newspapers and big name corporate media know a certain fact about the month of May?
Here is America May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Month. Look at the contribution to society by Japan, India and China with manufacturing of cars, electronics, computers, pharmaceuticals, medicine, technology, etc. And while Russia is the largest country in Asia and on the earth (that spans eight different time zones) , I’m not going to include Russia in this as most people would consider them as being fair skinned.
So I am mentioning only the traditional Oriental countries or Pacific Islands – Guam, Samoa, Hawaii, Mongolia, Nepal, Burma, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Koreas and China.
There are others but you get the point. Considering racial attacks on Asian people across America in the past several months, it is appalling that the big media would cover that but not fairly advertise and promote Asian America Pacific Island Month – a racial minority is a racial minority. But big-time media chooses to promote other minorities and shows neglect to the AAPI. May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Month. How about equal time, big media? Too late. May is close to being over.
