Mayor G.T. Bynum announced Cassia Carr will serve as Tulsa’s Deputy Mayor beginning Aug. 30. The Deputy Mayor serves as the acting mayor in the mayor’s absence and coordinates policy matters on behalf of the City of Tulsa.

As Deputy Mayor, Carr will oversee the Administrative Division of City departments – including Municipal Courts, Human Resources, Information Technology and Customer Care – as well as ongoing public safety support initiatives and collective bargaining.
