God bless the State of Texas!
A Texas law against abortions will stand thanks to a vote by the United States Supreme Court.
(This is another reason why elections matter – Trump judges voted to uphold the Texas law).
President Joe Biden, a Catholic who is pro-abortion, said the Court’s decision will cause “unconstitutional chaos.”
The Texas law bans all abortions after a heartbeat is detected in the unborn baby – which is about six weeks after conception. This law actually does not go far enough because doctors can lie about hearing a heartbeat or the age of the unborn baby.
The Texas law has a twist. Individual citizens can sue and collect a judgement of at least $10,000 if they have a successful lawsuit against doctors or clinics who seek abortions after their sixth week or abortionists who help them.
This is a challenge to the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that “legalized” abortion in every state without a vote of the people or the legislature.
So far, it has caused the death of more than 60 million unborn babies in America.
The Texas law won’t stop surgical abortions in Texas but not chemical abortions, which are growing by leaps and bounds.
Life begins at conception and any abortion violates God’s laws. A women’s “right” to an abortion is not in the U.S. Constitution. But every state has laws against murdering innocent people.
Even though some courageous Oklahoma lawmakers have put forth similar laws they have been turned back by the liberal Oklahoma Supreme Court and Democrat leaders.
Gov. Kevin Stitt should consider a special session to vote for a bill that mirrors the Texas law but goes a stop further and bans abortion. It would pass and he would sign it.
Women in Texas will still get abortions after six weeks and abortion clinics in Oklahoma City and Tulsa are still going to murder unborn babies.
Make no mistake. This is a moral challenge for America. Thank God Texas has brought this issue to the forefront.
