State Rep. Melissa Provenzano, D-Tulsa, is a certified liberal.

In the annual report on the Conservative Index by the Oklahoma Constitution newspaper, Provenzano got one conservative vote right and nine conservative votes wrong.

She voted correctly on Senate Bill 1714 which would allow home-based bakeries to continue working without forcing them to rent or buy commercial properties.

Even a blind pig finds an acorn sometimes.

Provenzano voted the wrong way on SB210 (making voting more reliable); HB3613 (preserving privacy); SB1081 (nullifying federal “red flag” laws that seek to confiscate firearms); HB2743 (which stripped $180 million in highway funding from the budget); HB3967 (which affirmed U.S. policy in support of the Nation Israel); HB2587 (a policy that determines where a life is worthy of the cost of medical care); HB2760 (tax credits for landlords to lower rents); HB2791 (mandating seat belts in back seats for children under 18); HB1182 (revoking the license of a doctor who performs an abortion).

This record proves that Provenzano is devoted to the Democrat Platform, which restricts freedoms, grows government, opposes the Second Amendment; resists school choice; abandons Israel; encourages euthanasia and promotes abortion on demand.

It is incredible that Provenzano got elected in conservative District 79 in South Tulsa.

It’s time for the voters in District 79 to correct that mistake.

Republican Margie Alfonso is a proven conservative and a devout Christian. She is a certified bacteriologist who has worked on implementing viral testing policies.

Alfonso would have scored a 100 on the Conservative Index because her deeply felt political beliefs are directly opposed to the Democrat Platform.

The Tulsa Beacon endorses Republican Margie Alfonso for District 79 on November 3.
