During World War II, Americans could only view the horrors of the war on news reels in local movie theaters.

During the Vietnam War, the evening newscasts brought limited views of the conflict accompanied by U.S. casualties.

During the War in Iraq, the world saw live footage of the American military in action.

Now Americans watch the live reports of Russian brutality in their unprovoked attack on Ukraine. Russia doesn’t follow international values when it comes to warfare. They are targeting civilians, children, hospitals and they are brutalizing and killing war prisoners.

How does this end?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said President Joe Biden was the only one who could stop Russia’s invasion of his country.

“Russian troops will move to even larger operations in the east of our state,” Zelenskyy said in an address to his countrymen. He said he provided Biden a list of resources he needs to ensure Ukraine’s survival. “To be honest, whether we will be able to (survive) depends on this,” he said. “Unfortunately, I don’t have the confidence that we will be receiving everything we need. He has the list. President Biden can enter history as the person who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Ukrainian people who won and chose the right to have their own country. (This) also depends on him.”

Almost every American wants this to end. They blame Russia completely. But if Biden follows Zelenskyy’s advice, it might lead to outright war with Russia and that could turn into a nuclear battle.

Biden could have stopped this before it began but he showed weakness instead strength. Now his choice is to go to war with Russia or let Ukraine fall.

This doesn’t look to end well for America or Ukraine.
