Abortion abolitionists from around the country will gather February 11-13 in Oklahoma for the Abolish Abortion OK Conference 2019.

Abolitionists from around the country are assembling in Oklahoma to support Senate Bill 13, which criminalizes abortion as murder in Oklahoma. Some of the scheduled speakers are State Sen. Joseph Silk, R-Broken Bow; former legislator Pastor Dan Fisher; T. Russell Hunter; Benjamin and Julia Bender; Jeff Durbin; Ken Valnecia Peters; John Michener from OKPAC; Derin A. Stidd;  Rusty Thomas; and Sarah Cleveland.

Registration is $75 and covers three nights of conference sessions, a long-sleeved SB13 T-Shirt and print material for distribution.

More than 225,000 babies have been murdered in Oklahoma as a result of our state’s compromise with abortion and subservience to the Supreme Court, a spokesman said. SB13 establishes justice and equal protection for all human beings in the state of Oklahoma.

SB13 extends the laws against murder to all people by fixing Oklahoma’s Homicide Statutes to include acts which cause the intentional death of an unborn child committed during an abortion.

This is not the first time Senator Silk has sought to abolish abortion in Oklahoma. Republican leaders killed previous versions of his legislation in 2016, 2017, and 2018.  Gov. Kevin Stitt, in his campaign,  promised to sign all anti-abortion legislation that arrives on his desk.

The Abolish Abortion Oklahoma Conference 2019 will be in Oklahoma City and Guthrie. On February 11, it will be at The Victor Building, 202 W. Harrison Ave, Guthie, and on February 12, at the State Capitol and then back at The Victor Building.  On February 13, the conference will be at the State Capitol and the Victor Building.
