Tulsa Boy’s Home will host their annual spring luncheon at 11 a.m. April 4 at the Renaissance Hotel, 6808 S. 107th E. Ave.

This is the major fundraiser for the Women’s Association of Tulsa Boy’s Home. All proceeds benefit the home.

Tulsa Boy’s Home was founded in 1918 by leaders of First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa and the Downtown Rotary Club. The first two boys were found sleeping in trash bags in an alley.

Tulsa Boy’s Home was the first and is now the largest residential treatment facility serving troubled boys in Oklahoma. The home has residential services for 64 boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Forty of those boys are placed by the Department of Human Services and the other 24 are privately placed by parents or legal guardians.

The goal is to help the boys lead productive lives and break the cycles of poverty, abuse, neglect and drug addiction.

Tulsa Boy’s Home has equine and recreation programs, offers substance abuse treatment and has an on-campus school. The home is at 2727 S. 137th West Avenue, Sand Springs.
