Celebrate and learn about Asian American cultures and customs with entertaining, educational events for the entire family as Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) presents its 20th annual Asian American Festival on June 25, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett. This family-friendly festival is sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust and admission is free.

Scheduled presentations and performances include:

  • Hibiki Japanese Drum Team, who will perform songs that channel the power and emotions within
  • Kaajhuab, a local Hmong dance team established to create a safe space for Hmong girls and young women to learn teamwork, discipline and self-confidence through the art of dance
  • China Roses, a Chinese folk-dance troupe
  • Di Dim Dol, a traditional Korean janggu drum dance performed by a group of talented kids
