Elections have consequences.

President Joe Biden is reopening negotiations with Iran concerning its nuclear weapons program. This is bad for the Middle East and bad for America.

“The Biden Administration’s decision to reopen nuclear talks with Iran while turning our back on traditional American allies in the Middle East like Israel and Saudi Arabia is an enormous and dangerous mistake,” said U.S. Rep. Tom Cole, R-Oklahoma.

“Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world. It is an implacable enemy of the United States, Israel and our Arab allies in the Middle East. The Trump Administration managed to isolate and weaken Iran through its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, its consistent support of Israel, its forging of the Abraham Accords and its policy of maximum pressure on Tehran. Reopening nuclear talks with Iran without Iranian concessions will discourage our allies and embolden the Iranian regime. That is a recipe for disaster in this volatile and strategically important region of the world.

“Iran is not a reliable or good faith negotiating partner. It is a mistake to placate an enemy of the United States and alienate our faithful friends. Sadly, that is exactly what the Biden Administration is choosing to do.”

Why is Biden doing this? This is a rush to return to the failed Middle East policies of Barack Obama. You can’t negotiate from a point of weakness. The evil people in this world need to see the strength and resolve of the American government.

That is not going to happen while Joe Biden is in the Oval Office.
