The Broken Arrow Rose Festival and Chalk It Up! An Art Festival scheduled for Oct 9-11, 2020, has been cancelled.

The rising numbers of COVID-19 cases and the uncertainty to provide a safe environment for visitors, vendors, staff and volunteers led to this decision.

The Rose Committee of Keep Broken Arrow Beautiful and Chalk It Up! Committee of ArtsOk organizes the event.

An estimated 18,000 people attended in 2019, celebrating Broken Arrow’s history and our city’s passion for roses and the arts,” said Beverly Forester, co-chair of the Rose Festival

“We are looking forward to hosting the festival in Fall of 2021,” Forester said.

“We’ll have the annual rose show, chalk art competition, rose-themed art contest, Kid Zone, gree kite, artist and marketplace vendors as well as food trucks, musicians and street performers, including Inspyral Circus. The weekend will conclude with the kite festival and car show.”

“In addition, we anticipate the new Creative Art Center in downtown Broken Arrow will be open for business by the time of the 2021 festival, making the weekend an even greater celebration of all things creative in our community,”  said Jennifer Deal, co-chair of Chalk It Up! An Art Festival.
