Due to positive coronavirus cases at the Flint Valley campus of New Life Ranch, summer camp and family camp have been canceled for the rest of the summer.

A camper who came on July 5 went home July 9 and tested for the coronavirus on July 13. The test was positive and the Christian camp immediately ended its summer program. This canceled summer camp, leadership development and family camp at Flint Valley.

One leadership development camper at NLR Frontier Cove tested positive after he left camp on July 11 and the camp ended the Nehemiah program for the rest of the summer there.

“Since the Nehemiah Team operated separately and did not come into contact with Junior Campers, we will continue Junior Camp at Frontier Cove, including Week 8 next week,” New Life Ranch Executive Director Tom Graney said last week.

“We cling on to the hope we have in Christ, and we continue to proclaim the truth of our theme verse for this summer: ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and Ke will show you which path to take’ (Proverbs 3:5-6),” Graney said.

The pandemic has placed a financial crunch for the Christian camp.
