The University of Tulsa offensive center Gerard Wheeler has been named to the Watch List for the Rimington Trophy. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.

Wheeler, a 6-3, 331-pound junior, is in his second year as Tulsa’s starting center. He has started the last 13 games dating back to the second game of the 2020 season.

The Rimington Trophy Committee adjusted its procedures with consideration to the COVID-19 pandemic, choosing to hold its 2020 watch list until play began and a plan was implemented across all Division I conferences.
