Republican conservative Cheryl Bebar grew up in Walters, Oklahoma.

She will be on the ballot August 25 in the GOP runoff for Oklahoma Senate District 35.

She went to Oklahoma City University and then Midwestern State University where she earned a scholarship to study in Geneva, Switzerland.

Then she earned her law degree from Columbia University. After graduation, she worked as a law clerk for federal judges and then served as an assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Oklahoma.

In 2016, she was a delegate to the Republican National Convention. She and her family attend First Baptist Church of Tulsa.

Bebar is a grassroots candidate who believes in law and order. She understands the balance between protecting law-abiding citizens and misapplied law enforcement. Prisons need to focus on rehabilitation but the public must be protected from violent criminals.

She understands the need for judicial reforms and the need for law enforcement cooperation when it comes to our immigration laws.  To spur economic growth, Baber would remove regulatory burdens and streamline paperwork for business. She would reform occupational licensing laws and preserve the right-to-work reforms.

She believes in the American Dream.

Oklahoma needs better care in nursing homes. Baber is pro-life.  She understands the importance of the energy industry not only to Oklahoma but to America. She wants more transparency in state finances.

Baber supports the eight-year plan by the GOP to rebuild Oklahoma’s waterways, railways, roads and airports.

The Tulsa Beacon endorses Republican Cheryl Baber and urges you to vote for her August 25 in the Republican runoff for Senate District 35.
