The Christmas Armadillo©️ children’s book is now available.

It features a lovable family of armadillos who discover the real meaning of Christmas when stumbling upon an outdoor nativity scene.

The story follows an armadillo family as they discover  the real meaning of Christmas and some classic songs while encountering statues of the traditional Christmas family, shepherds and angels.

Readers will be inspired by four-color illustrations, ( by Sheila Schmidt), Christmas decor and a simple bedtime- like story.

The Christmas Armadillo©️  by “Armadillo Jim” Schmidt,  was inspired by his fondness of the “little armored animal” and his grandmother’s nativity scene, brought to America when she was an eight-year-old immigrant girl in 1889. Readers young and old will learn the real story of the first Christmas.

Schmidt said,  “Children around the world will find room in their heart this Christmas for a little ‘ArmadilLove.’

“So many frozen and cold northern animals and characters such as reindeer, polar bears, elves and snowmen have told various Christmas stories but now an animal from the south gets a chance to share the Christmas spirit.”
