Tulsa redshirt freshman Zaven Collins was named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America team.
It’s the second freshman All-America award for the linebacker from Hominy. In December, Collins was named to the USA Today Freshman All-America team. Collins was the lone representative from an American Athletic Conference school named to the FWAA team.
Collins started in the third game of the 2018 season and ended the year second on the team in tackles, while leading the Golden Hurricane in tackles for lost yards. He was credited with 85 tackles and 9.5 stops for -31 yards.
