Tulsa County voters who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the September 14 Collinsville Public Schools special bond election should apply now, said Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Gwen Freeman.
Absentee ballots are available to any registered voters if they are eligible to vote in the election requested.
With some exceptions, all absentee ballots must be notarized.
The deadline to apply for absentee ballots is 5 p.m. September 7. Information is available at Oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp.
Request forms are also available at Oklahoma.gov/elections and at the Tulsa County Election Board office at 555 N. Denver Ave.
The Collinsville Schools proposal at a cost of $10,440,000.00 includes early childhood center classroom additions; upper elementary classroom additions and cafeteria expansion; a softball locker room and dugout; a football locker room, a wrestling practice facility, a weight room and training room in the Terry Due Athletic Complex.
Collinsville voters approved a bond package in 2018 for the band facility, agriculture education and classrooms.
Sample ballots are available at Oklahoma.gov/elections/ovg. Sample ballots are specific to each person. Freeman said is if the OK Voter Portal doesn’t show a sample ballot, you are not eligible to vote in that election.
