Oklahoma has received 33,150 doses of vaccines for the Chinese coronavirus and 2,253 doses had been administered by December 21.

Also as of December 21, the Oklahoma State Health Department reported 263,434 total cases of the coronavirus within Oklahoma.

The number of Oklahomans who have recovered is 224,672.

There have been 2,218 state deaths attributed to the pandemic. More than 80% of those who died were age 65 or older. Fewer than 1% of the deaths were from birth to age 35. About 15% of the state deaths were in the 50-64 age category and 3% were ages 36-49.

In Tulsa, 227 people have died due to the virus.

There are an estimated 36,544 active cases in the state.

The latest number of confirmed cases in Oklahoma has put a strain on hospitals (see chart).

Tulsa has 1,751 total hospital beds and on December 18, 392 (22%) were for coronavirus patients. In Oklahoma City, with 1,515 hospital beds, 521 (34%) were for coronavirus patients on December 14.

On December 18, Tulsa hospitals had 85 coronavirus patients in intensive care units, compared to 115 on December 16.

Tulsa has had 26,741 confirmed cases of the coronavirus with 23,272 patients having recovered.

Broken Arrow has had 9,253 cases; Owasso has 2,968 cases; Bixby has 1,948 cases; Sand Springs has 1,812 cases; Jenks has 1,746 cases; Sapulpa has 1,694 cases; Collinsville has 1,336 cases; Coweta has 1,053 cases; Skiatook has 991 cases; Glenpool has 928 cases; and Sperry has 354 cases.

Tulsa County has recorded 44,100 confirmed total cases with 350 deaths and 37,963 recoveries.

Muskogee County has 5,915 total cases with 48 deaths.

Rogers County has 5,847 total cases with 80 deaths.

Wagoner County has 3,976 total cases with 42 deaths.

Creek County has 3,673 total cases with 42 deaths. Washington County has had 2,884 confirmed cases with 53 deaths.

Osage County has 2,691 cases with 24 deaths.

In the entire nation on December 21, there were 17,844,690 confirmed cases with a daily average of new cases at 189,099. There were 317,668 deaths in the United States attributed to the coronavirus. Oklahoma currently ranks 25th in the number of total reported COVID-19 cases in the U.S. and 16th in the cumulative incidence (per 100,000 persons) of reported COVID-19 cases in the U.S.
