Oklahoma State hit four home runs, and Brennan Phillips pitched a gem on the mound as the Cowboys posted an 11-2 win and series sweep over Texas Tech Sunday at Rip Griffin Park, in Lubbock, Texas.
OSU improved to 28-16 overall and 11-10 in Big 12 play, while TTU fell to 22-22 and 6-15 in the conference.
The Cowboys were led by the hot hitting Alex Conover who went 4-for-6 with two doubles and a homer in the game. Garrett Shull, Sebastian Norman and Colin Brueggemann also homered for OSU.
Phillips (3-2) was making his fourth start of the season and pitched 8 1/3 innings, striking out six while allowing just two runs on seven hits. Phillips’ previous career high for innings pitched was six against Texas Tech in the 2023 Big 12 Championship, and he had not pitched more than 4 2/3 innings in a game this season.
Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech on Friday, 16-6, in a run-rule shortened game, and then got past the Red Raiders, 9-8, on Saturday.
