Joe Biden’s Justice Department doesn’t want the people of Missouri to exercise their full 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms. Biden is issuing questionable executive orders to curtail gun rights. Biden thinks his authority supercedes the State of Missouri, the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Constitution.

The Justice Department has warned Missouri officials that they can’t ignore federal laws when it comes to guns.

It’s apparently OK for California to ignore federal laws about illegal immigration and sanctuary cities. It seems to be OK for Oregon, Washington and a host of other states – including Oklahoma – to ignore the federal laws against possession of marijuana.  But it’s not OK for Missouri when they instruct their law enforcement to not enforce unconstitutional gun control laws. And if Missouri doesn’t capitulate, Biden is going to cut off federal funds.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a law that penalizes local police departments if their officers enforce federal gun laws. Missouri abandoned requirements that people get training and pass background checks to carry concealed handguns.

Missouri’s law would make law enforcement agencies with officers who knowingly enforce any federal laws pay a fine of about $50,000 per violating officer.

Six states passed legislation removing or weakening concealed-carry permit requirements this year, including Texas. About 20 states now allow people to carry concealed weapons without a license. At least three other states have passed legislation banning police from enforcing federal gun laws.

This is the United “States.” When the federal government oversteps its constitutional restraints, the states have every to protect their citizens. And that includes the right to bear arms.
