OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Dean Davis, R-Broken Arrow, on Tuesday recognized the 2022 Tulsa Northeast Oklahoma Association of Homeschools (NOAH) Jaguars on the floor of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
The team in November won the National Homeschool Football Association’s (NHFA) National Championship, defeating Georgia Force Homeschool of Sugar Hill, GA, by a score of 42-9.
NOAH defeated Lighthouse Christian of Springfield, MO, in the playoffs to earn a spot in the championship game. During Tulsa NOAH’s season they had an overall record of 10 wins with just two losses, with wins over homeschool teams from Houston, Dallas, and the Kansas City Area.
“Homeschool teams from across the nation – from Cincinnati, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Baltimore, New Orleans, Chicago, and many other cities and states – compete to make the NHFA playoffs for a chance to win the Homeschool Football National Championship,” Davis said. “Oklahoma’s own Tulsa NOAH brought the championship home to Oklahoma in 2022! This is a phenomenal team, and a great win for these team members and their coaches and our state.”
Tulsa NOAH has a roster of 58 homeschool students from across Northeastern Oklahoma. Representing NOAH in the House on Tuesday was Head Coach James Ballinger, and team captains and senior leaders Benjamin Lowery, Micah Trent, Dawon Atchison, Aiden Eddins, and Deuce Gentry.
