In a private meeting of Congressional Democrat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the reason she does not want to impeach President Trump is because she wants him to go to jail instead.

What?

“I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison,” the House Speaker said, according to Politico.

The radical leftists/socialists within the Democrat Party want Trump impeached. They have several problems with this plan.

First, the Mueller Report exonerated Trump from accusations that he stole the 2016 election by colluding with the Russians. He did not and no one in his campaign did.

Secondly, impeachment in the House is political, not legal. Even though the Democrats control the vote in the House, removal of a president requires a super majority vote in the Senate, which is controlled by the Republicans. So, no matter what House Democrats do, they can’t get rid of Trump.

Thirdly, impeachment hearings in the House will backfire on the Democrats and Pelosi knows that. A public impeachment will quickly show that Trump has committed no crime and has not obstructed justice. It will show that the House Democrats have done nothing to solve the nation’s problems of illegal immigration, rotting infrastructure and legalized infanticide.

The Democrat Party is split. One side wants to overturn the 2016 election by attacking Trump and the other side wants to win the 2020 presidential election.

Trump won’t go to prison. But ongoing Department of Justice investigations of the Deep state and the phony Mueller report will land some prominent Democrats in federal prisons.
