Last week, Rep. Carol Bush held a press conference saying that Oklahomans elect abusers to leadership roles and promote abusers as professional athletes. She said this because she had court documents from Rep. Sean Roberts divorce 22 years ago and was alleging him to be an abuser.

The ex-wife from those documents, on August 1st, stated they were lies and even took the extra step to endorse Sean Roberts for Labor Commissioner. Bush knew about this letter well before but continued to go on and accuse Roberts of being a domestic abuser.

I do not doubt that Bush loves America and Oklahoma, but in this case, I have to question if she has Oklahoman’s best interest in mind. According to Roberts’ attorney, she never reached out to him before her public statements. Not only that but she also shares a consultant with his opponent.

Now, Roberts’ opponent is smearing his name all over the television with ads accusing him of being a domestic abuser with the exact information that Bush put out. Roberts’ opponent, Osborn, and Bush should be ashamed of their dirty, coordinated political attacks.

It is political attacks of personal destruction like this that keep good people out of politics.
