I’m a football fan, especially of college and high; school teams. On the weekend of December 20-21, several Texas high school championships games (for different sized schools) were on TV (Cox, Channel 1027). I always look forward to this extravaganza! Over the years I’ve seen Adrian Peterson, Vince Yong, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murry and many others play in those games.

The Oklahoma high school championships were held in recent weeks and are now finished. In the past several years, a few Oklahoma championship games – not nearly as many as Texas games – were on TV. I (and I think I’m speaking for a lot of football fans) find this situation in Oklahoma to be very disappointing. I urge the Oklahoma powers-that-be to do as Texas does and televise many high school championship games.
