Tulsa, Okla. – ORU men’s golf student-athlete Jackson Drake has been named the Summit League Scholar Athlete of the Championship.

The Scholar of the Championship award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative undergraduate grade-point average participating at each of the Summit League’s 19 championships. Each institution that is participating in a Summit League championship is eligible to submit one nominee for the Scholar of the Championship award.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Student-athlete must be in at least their second year (i.e., third semester or fourth quarter) of full-time enrollment at the nominating member institution.
  2. Student-athlete must be in at least their second season of competition at the nominating member institution and have triggered use of at least one season of competition in the sport in which the student-athlete is nominated.
  3. Student-athlete must be an active member on the institution’s roster, eligible for the Summit League championship, and designated as a participating student-athlete on the member institution’s Summit League championship travel party roster.
